BORED WITH YOUR HOBBIES? TRY COON HUNTING!

Get a gun, some coonhounds, a hardhat with a powerful light, a four wheel drive pickup truck, and a hunting buddy. Then, let the hounds loose in the woods after midnight. There are few things as much fun as being out on the trail in the middle of the night, with your dogs bellowing in the distant forest. Raccoons are a delicacy to eat, and you can sell their pelt for a lot of money. Or, you can make a great looking hat for yourself just like Daniel Boon’s. As a side line, you can make money by raising and selling coonhounds. A good stud can be sold for as much as $35,000!

Another benefit of the sport is that you can stay out all night drinking moonshine with wild women and tell your wife you were chasing raccoons. The camaraderie of coon hunting goes beyond thrashing around in the woods. You can take your dogs to competitions where you have a chance to win cash prizes if your dog barks up the right tree. The bottom line is, this kind of hunting is a great sport and offers the opportunity to profit when you catch a good coon. There are a lot of people out there who have tried it and became hooked for life. You should try it!

  1. You sound like a good old southern boy. If you catch one, I know someone who can tell you how to cook it. Good eats!!

  2. The Tsar doesn't know from personal experience, mind you, but he strongly suspects that the coons aren't as wild about this sport as you are. And they've got a union behind them. Don't let PETA know you're out or you'll return to find your Ford 150's smoking parts hanging from tree limbs. And things can get really ugly if they catch you wearing Dan'l Boone's hat. Be warned, my redneck friend. TsarPat

  3. Hey Georgia,
It has been awhile. Good to hear from you, again.
If I get one, you will be the first one I call.

  4. Oh my poor uninformed proponent of ethical treatment of animals. The Tsar does not understand that a bullet in the "brain", is more humane than being run over by an 18 wheeler on the highway. More coons are killed by motor vehicles than by ethical coon hunters. The coons enjoy the chase and find it easier to outrun a dog than a car.
