I spent 40 years in the business world and I
learned that consultants are people who failed in business, lost their jobs or
went bankrupt, and then became consultants. The only thing they are good at is
creating new business jargon that is meaningless and ridiculous! If you use
their language, you sound like a moron. If you want to reach out, touch base,
shift a paradigm, leverage a best practice, or get outside the box, then they
have the gobbledygook to help you do it.
Don’t let your core mediocrity keep you from
buying-in to moving the needle towards opening your kimono so that you can get
off the burning platform. Don’t boil the ocean. Take it to the next level and
give it 110%. Best practices will help you to get over the wall to the bleeding
edge. Yeah, right.
Dear Lance: You've been stealing copies of Forbes from the library again, haven't you, you little rascal.

The Tsar's favorite is "reach out." When he tried it she slapped him. Apparently they don't mean it literally.
