I
passed my first course about philosophy. I am now able to think like a
philosopher. I am still struggling with mathematics and am nowhere near being
able to think like a mathematician. Without a doubt, learning advanced
mathematics is extremely difficult. It is much harder than learning a foreign
language. If you think about all the extraordinary human advancements that came
from mathematicians, it is not surprising that it is one of the most difficult
skills to master. The list of impressive advancements that evolved from
Calculus is astounding. Astronomy, space travel, computer science, the
Internet, Google, and who knows what is next! I may never be able to fully
understand it but I am sure learning to respect mathematicians and appreciate
what they have done for us.
